Welcome to our blog! We are a class of Year 1 and 2 students at Paparore school in the Far North. Our teachers are Mrs Hammond and Mrs Brydon.

Today we dressed up in yellow for Daffodil Day. We brought gold coins to school to fundraise for the Cancer Society. Our school raised $370 this year! Michele painted daffodils on our cheeks with the face paint.
We love our school lunches. Today Lykan found a funny shaped biscuit. One of his friends thought that it looked like a poppy flower. What do you think happened to his biscuit???
For our maths topic, geometry we have been learning to name and describe 2D shapes (flat shapes) We made pictures using coloured 2D shapes. We used circles, rectangles, squares, triangles, semi-circles, hexagons, ovals and diamonds. It was so much fun!
