Halloween dress-up day 2023

Today we dressed up and enjoyed some "trick or treating" to celebrate Halloween. Here are some of our Te Pihi students in their cool costumes! We wrote some neat stories too.

Nevaeh in her pretty witch dress with Mrs Hammond's broomstick!

Here is Valley as a black angel. Look at her beautiful feathered wings.

Collins came as Wednesday Adams with her scary hand called "Thing" sitting on her shoulder. Eeek!!!!

Here is Cooper as a transformer named "Bumble Bee"

Anahera came as a sparkly fairy!

Dayah wore a skeleton suit, had scary vampire teeth and an axe.

Oh, look at our beautiful angel, Tearyus-Reign!

Goodness it's another Bumble Bee transformer.....
it was hard to tell that it was Reuben with his mask on.

I wonder who this was....oh that's right, it was Rocky who spooked everyone with his scary mask and chainsaw.

Go the All Blacks!

Paparore School are getting behind the New Zealand All Blacks for their final game against South Africa (the Springboks) in the Rugby World Cup in Paris, France. We dressed up in black for our school's "Black Out Day" to show our support. Some of us will hopefully get up early on Sunday morning to watch the big game. Good luck ABs from Te Pihi!

Inquiry topic "From Garden to the Table"

We have been learning how to GERMINATE seeds in our classroom WITHOUT USING SOIL. First we pushed a seed into wet cotton wool. Then we put that into a small plastic bag. After one week, most of our bean seeds are already spouting. We will be watching them over the next few weeks and recording what we see. Soon we will be able to transplant them into our school garden where they will hopefully grow into larger bean plants. We can't wait!
