Te Pihi class read a great shared story called 'The Pirate who said Please'. One of the students suggested we make a pirate ship in class by turning a table upside down! So we got to work and this is the result...
We had a pirate dress up day, had a treasure hunt, walked the plank in the school pool and talked real piratey! We all had so much fun that our pirate ship has sailed in our class for an extra week. Meanwhile we have learnt lots of words like plank, bow, stern, hull, deck, crow's nest and lookout.
